Good Day Everyone,
Fall is definitely here to stay. We have had our first frost and snow fall. This new fundraiser will hopefully play right into your fall cleaning. Fall cleaning where you sort though cloths, belongings and start to donate your unwanted items.
We have partnered up with the Value Village on a new fundraiser introduced to Regina. We are the first Non-profit in the city that is trying this out. They have run this program in Prince Albert successfully for the past 3 years and in larger Canadian cities the past 6 years.
What and When:
#34 Roland J. Groome’s Donation Drive is every Monday night, but the last collection day will be Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Regina Armouries. By donating gently-used clothing, shoes, accessories, book, linens, and small household items (no furniture), you help to reach our goal of $1K – we get paid for every pound of goods donated! Plus, every donation also helps the local non profit charities.
Pat Henneberg is running this event, please reach out to her if you have any questions. She can be reached at 306-527-0153. She is also collecting truck loads at her house.
We welcome:
Clothing, shoes, accessories, handbags, books, linens, and small household items (no furniture). Other items may be accepted, but should be bagged separately and will not be counted towards our compensation.
Feel free to make copies of these flyers and put in mailboxes in your neighbourhood, if you are willing to collect from neighbours and friends. If the demand is huge from the community, we can setup up a collection day with a new volunteer drivers to collect and make a drop off at Value village. PLEASE DO NOT being items to Value village yourself as it will not count towards our fundraiser. We need to do it on a pre-established date and time as one large trip.
Looking forward to some feedback and how many pounds of items we can get from this.
Thank you for your support and participation
