Good Day Cadets and Parents,
The Saskatchewan Air Cadet League is once again running their annual Cash Ticket Raffle. This is a provincial driven fundraiser which helps our squadron and the provincial committee. 100% of the proceeds from the ticket sales goes directly back to the squadrons or into programming provided by the provincial committee for cadets. Some of the Air Cadet programming includes the SaskCadet camp, Effective Speaking, Photography, and Aviation programs.
The more booklets our squadron sells the more we get back in return. This is why it is important that we try to sell as many booklets as we can. If every cadet sells one booklet the squadron will receive 25% back which is $12.50 per booklet, however if each cadet sells two booklets, we would get 50% back or $25.00 per booklet sold. Finally, if we can get cadets to sell more than two booklets, the squadron would receive 80% back or $40.00 for every booklet sold. As you can see, the more effort we put in the more the squadron will benefit.
Each cadet will be given a booklet of tickets to sell. Here is some information about the tickets and the rules to follow when selling the tickets:
- Each booklet has 10 tickets.
- Each ticket is $5.00 and each and every ticket must be sold for $5.00.
- Tickets can only be sold to individuals 18 years of age or old.
- Tickets must be sold to individuals in Saskatchewan
- Each ticket has a chance to win one of 4 prizes. 1st prize is $15,000. Prizes are printed on each ticket. The draw will be on June 30, 2024
- Cadets are responsible for each booklet and must ensure that the sold booklets are returned with the appropriate amount of money (i.e: 10 tickets sold = $50.00)
- All booklets and monies need to be returned by May 27, 2024.
- It is very important that you do not lose or misplace your booklet of tickets. The squadron needs to account for each and every ticket sold!
Please return all sold booklets to me. As this is a Sponsoring Committee event, officers will not be collecting the ticket booklets and monies from the sales, so once again come and see me or one of the other sponsoring committee executive members.
